Figo is not our first dog, not our first rott either... But we are pretty sure that he will be our first champ rott... having met and came to be friends with Don during a dog show in dumaguete city, he came to us as a person who is so passionate with the breed. We easily realized that he is a man with dedication for rottweilers. It was only days after the dog show, we visited ZSE kennel. Don was there, and it was a very memorable visit. We were struck in awe of how the kennel is kept. Not only that, we saw what we were dreaming of before... A real rottweiler, true representation of the breed and straight from the UK website, right before us!!! There they were, Apollo, Yao, Ikar, Maggie!!! But we fell in love with Apollo... Now, we have a ZSE rott... FIGO!!! playful, smart, witty and with all the qualities of a future champion!!! Thanks Don, for giving us the opportunity and happiness to own Figo! Rest assured that he is in good loving hands...

My fascination with dogs started when I was very young. I grew up with Nixon, a large male GSD who was chained practically all his life to one of the posts of our makeshift kitchen. He was a very frustrated and angry dog that his incessant pulling cost the household literally the entire kitchen. Alongside was Marcos, a medium-built compact mixed breed who loved to throw his weight among the other dogs in our neighborhood. Not a single dog would dare stood up to him when he felt like strutting his wares, his face expressionless and stoic. He was low on prey and high on defense, very Czech-like. Then there was Blackie (I didn’t bother to check with my old man up to now as to what country Blackie was president of), very much enthralled with ‘Men-In-Bike’. He would settle on his sweet inconspicuous spot underneath a bench outside the house, waiting for those men-in-bike. When he sees one, a quick burst of speed and a ferocious bark would start the chase. When the dust and the smoke settled, either you would see someone very angry picking himself up and dusting off after a crash or one who was laughing on his way, happy he was able to beat the dog in the chase. Our three dogs were in the ‘neighborhood news’ for all the wrong reasons. We have improved since, thanks to well-meaning friends and the internet. Eventually, I fall in love with the rottweiler, an ancient and noble breed with a proud working history. I plan to do OB and conformation and maybe foray into work later on. I wanted a very typey rott with good prey and play drive. Little did I know that I would spend years looking for the right pup because of these self-imposed requirements of mine. My search eventually led me to the gates of ZSE kennel. What caught my attention was that besides their having impressive dogs, equally awesome is the wealth of marque names that back the pedigree of each of their dogs. In no time did I find myself talking to Don and Kevin and Jen. I was expecting that meeting to be some sort of a job interview since many dog breeders look for some strict requirements from clients who would want their dogs. Rather, it was very cordial, with Don and Kevin showing me around and giving me snippets of info on each of their dogs. I learned of their very sound breeding program coupled with a no-nonsense approach to dog rearing. Noteworthy is their collective, genuine and unselfish concern and goal to improve the breed, mindful of the state of the Philippine rottweiler. I thought that I know enough of the breed and the who’s who in the rott world but on that day, I was glad they took me to school. All very unassuming fellows, it didn’t took me long to make the decision. In a week’s time, I got not only one but two pups…Arkan, out of Apollo vs Nina and Cutter, from Python vs Rebecca. Everything didn’t end the moment I took off with their pups. It was rather the start of a meaningful friendship founded on mutual respect for each other…and the love of the rottweiler. Thanks Don, Kev and Jen for entrusting to me these two very admirable pups. They are the fulfillment of a long held dream that I thought will remain just a dream. I hope I’ll be up to the task of bringing out their fullest potentials. Your kennel is a long overdue gift to the Philippine Rottweiler. More power!

This is a BIG THANK YOU that should have been written some time ago. About a year ago (October 21, 2007), I asked my parents to watch an all breed dogshow. As expected, there were great looking dogs and some that were really amazing. BUT there was this one dog who really swept me off my feet.... A ROTTWEILER.... The handler introduced me to the owner Mr. Kevin Robin. I was amazed with Mr. Robin\'s knowledge of the breed, and his straightforward approach was just what I needed. Having seen Tano made me realize how badly I wanted to have that dream rott. It inspired me to the point of craving. Then finally, my parents gave me one of the best gifts ever, Tanya (a daughter of Tano). I unfortunately lost her despite our best efforts to an illness. Yet God is so good enough that He let me have another one. And that\'s Akino von Schwarzen Engeln (son of Apollo Earl Antonius)! If you want a perfect experience, an awesome dog, and deal with great people contact ZSE. Thank you Sir Don and Sir Kevin for entrusting us Akino and for your hard work and dedication to the breed. God bless! And more power to ZSE!

My son’s dream of having a rottweiler became a reality when we were given an opportunity to own Arko.. It was also a great feeling for a father like me to give my son what he wanted for so long.. A rottweiler, but I wanted to give him the best rottweiler possible, that was why I did not hesitate to get one from ZSE. Arko is not just an ordinary rottweiler.. Although he is physically bigger than my son now, my son still calls him his little brother! Sweet, playful and energetic little brother! Aside from the fact that he is the son of well known parents, Arko for us, is one of the best representatives of his breed! Thanks Team ZSE for entrusting to us this little boy, also thanks for all the guidance.. your “after sales” system is very helpful! It only shows how we truly love the breed.
